The Meadow Habitat

Meadow areas are full of wild flowers and grass species. These areas need cutting regularly to ensure that scrub vegetation does not take over. The plant species include; bee orchids, southern marsh orchids, tway blades, pyramidal orchids, ragwort, marsh thistle, wild carrot, oxeye daisy, horsetail, bramble, ribwort plantain, bird's foot trefoil, hardhead, nettles and moths.

Reptiles can sometimes be seen, especially on the south facing slopes. These include; Grass snakes, slow worms, smooth snakes and the common lizard.
