Woodland
areas have many species of plants, and are home to many birds.
Small mammals also make their homes here, such as voles,
mice, foxes and rabbits.
The trees and plants include oak, silver birch, reed, hawthorn, rose,
alder, ivy, crab apple, bramble, elm, hazel, yew, crack willow, field
maple, sycamore, wood sage, horsetail, bird's foot trefoil, buddlei,
goat's beard, bramble, bristly oxtongue, ash, hardhead, sallow, stinging
nettle, greater stitchwort, hemp agrimony, bee and twayblade orchid.
