Gardens can be important
feeding areas for bats, especially the smaller bats like pipistrelles.
Plants chosen to attract insects, and night-flying insects in particular,
will increase the garden’s value to wildlife, although we cannot guarantee
that bats will visit regularly. Before planning any changes, look beyond
your garden at what bats already have access to nearby. Try to enhance
what is available, for bats live and feed over a wide area. Encourage
you're neighbours to do the same.

Honeysuckle
Night scented flowers such
as honeysuckle and evening primrose, native trees and shrubs, a shelter
belt formed by a wall or shrubs, a garden pond - all can be important
parts of a garden planned for bats.
