Herbivores
Herbivores only eat plants. Their teeth are flat and blunt to chew and grind the plant material. Giraffe's have such long necks they can reach leaves at the top of trees. Their long, dark tongues stretch up to grab leaves and twigs, pulling the food towards their mouth. Herbivores have to eat lots and lots of plants to provide them with enough energy each day. Many herbivores like cattle, zebras and giraffes are hunted and eaten by carnivores, such as lions.
