House mouse

Description Small and slim with grey fur, large ears, protruding eyes and a medium length tail. Head and body length 75-105mm, weights 12-28g.
Life cycle Maximum life span of 18 months. May breed all year producing 5-10 litters of 4-8 young. Gestation is 19-20 days and weaning takes place at 18-20 days.
Habitat Associated with human activity; houses, shops, farms, warehouses, mills also farms and hedgerows.
Diet Omnivorous, but prefer cereals.

Reserve House mice have been observed in the buildings on the site.
Britain Pre-breeding population estimated at 5,192,000 and declining.
