Death Cap

This is the most poisonous fungus in Britain. Every single part of the fungus is deadly. Even the tiny spores are poisonous. It often grows underneath trees including oak and beech. It can easily be confused with edible harmless species, and many people have died painful deaths as a result of eating this scary fungus by mistake. By the time the victim starts to feel ill, horrible damage has already been done to their liver and kidneys, and it is too late to do anything to help. Death Cap has been used for murders and suicides. The closely related Destroying Angel is quite rare, but deadly poisonous, like the Death Cap.
