VEGETATIVE
This is reproduction in plants and fungi, by one parent, in what is known
as asexual reproduction (unlike sexual
reproduction). It can occur by the development of a plant's stem, leaf
or root, rather than flower and seed growth. Part of a plant's body can
grow into a new individual, for example bulbs, corms,
tubers and rhizomes are all parts of certain plants which can grow
into new plants. It can also occur when fungi produce asexual
spores.
