What is Biodiversity ? Biodiversity is the variety of living
species that live on the planet. Species are a group of living organisms
that look like one another, can interbreed and are able to produce young.
There are approximately 1.4 million species that have been named by scientists.
We do not know the true number of species on earth as scientists have
not found them all. There may be anywhere between 5 and 30 million species. |
