This programme of study provides an introduction to weather, climate and forecasting. We go on a 'seasons walk' along one of the nature trails and study the seasonal effects on wildlife. Topics such as bird migration, leaf fall, spring buds and hibernation may be discussed. Back at the centre's weather station there is an opportunity to record the current weather on data sheets. We also explore a weather trail to learn about weather sayings and discover a secret weather word! This programme of study is suitable for all seasons.
