This programme of study is designed to meet some of the targets of Key Stage 2 Geographical Skills. The children are taught how to use an orienteering compass, read and construct simple maps. Grid references are introduced and a 'treasure map' produced to guide the children around Sunrise trail, where they find clues to help them find hidden treasure. (Please bring chocolate coins or other suitable treasure, enough for one per child.)
