Common Frog
Frogs lay their eggs in pond-water during spring. This
frogspawn hatches out into tiny tadpoles that use their feather-like gills
to breath in water. Tadpoles undergo metamorphosis into adult frogs, which
have lungs to help them breathe on land. Frogs also breathe through their
moist skin and mouth linings, which is why they like living in damp places.
Frogs eat beetles, spiders, worms and slugs which they catch with their
sticky tongues.
