Ladybird
There are 44 species of Ladybird. One
species is a plant eater (herbivore), the rest are meat eaters (carnivores).
They hibernate in the winter. The larvae are slate blue in colour.
Sometimes swarms of ladybirds are seen, a great help to the gardener
but a little painful in large numbers because they can nip!
