Why do leaves change colour? In the autumn some trees lose their leaves. The tree takes out all the green colour from the leaf to store in the tree trunk. The colours that we see are the colours left in the leaves. |

Cobwebs Spiders spin webs by making their own silk. These webs are very strong. They can trap insects that fly into them. When an insect has been caught, the spider wraps the insect in more silk until it is ready to eat it! Yum! |

them but they spit out the seed because it is so big. This seed then
grows into a new hawthorn tree.
