Dear Sebastian,
Hello Sebastian, we are Class 1T from Tenterden Infants' School and we thought you would like to know that we have been finding out about the names of baby animals A baby swan is called a cygnet, a baby deer is a fawn, a baby wild boar is a piglet, a badger is a cub, a duck is a duckling, baby cats and rabbits are called kittens, a baby cow is a calf, baby foxes and bears are called cubs, a baby horse is a foal, a baby dog is a puppy, baby frogs and newts are called tadpoles and dragonfly and damsel fly larvae are called nymphs. We have been looking at your web site and enjoyed reading your big books. We particularly enjoyed Pond Life and the story about your cygnet. Yesterday we went to a nature reserve in Tenterden and saw some very old ant hills, some bluebells, primroses and very rare orchids. We also saw some cows and their calves. Later this month we are going to Tyland Barn near Maidstone and we hope to find lots of insects and different wild floers.. We are also going pond dipping which should be fun! We hope you and your family are well.
Love from Class 1T
