Copy and Paste Big Book Text into Microsoft Word.
  • First print out this sheet of instructions.
  • Make sure your printer is connected and switched on.
  • Left click on the "Print" button at the top of this page.
  • Left click on the "OK" button.

    Copy the text.

  • Choose the piece of text you wish to use.
  • Place the mouse at the beginning of the text on the screen so that the mouse arrow turns into a line.
  • Left click with the mouse and by keeping your finger pressed down, drag the mouse across all of the text so it appears highlighted in blue.
  • Remove your finger - the text remains highlighted blue.
  • Point the mouse arrow cursor on the address and right click so that this menu appears:
  • Left click "copy".

    Open Microsoft Word

  • Now left click on the "Start" button at the bottom of the screen.
  • Select "Programs".
  • Left click "Microsoft Word" to open it.

  • Place text into Microsoft word

  • Right click on the empty page in Microsoft Word.
  • Left click "Paste".
  • If you want to change the paper orientation - left click "File" at the top of the page.
  • Left click "Page Setup".
  • Left click "Paper Size".
  • In the orientation box, left click "Landscape".
  • Now you can change the text size by selecting it using the same process as above and changing the font size in this box:
  • You can also use this process in Talking First Word.

    Place text into Talking Textease

  • Once you have copied the text as above, open Talking Textease by left clicking "Start", "Programs", "RM Window Box Software" and then "Talking Textease".
  • Left click on this button:File
  • Left click "Edit". Left click "Paste".
  • Now by clicking on this button:LipsThe computer will read the text!!
