Plants
are living things which make their own food by using water, air and sunlight. Trees, grasses and seaweeds are all types of plants.
Winter
is the coldest season. In this country we have four seasons; Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.
Tadpoles
are very young frogs. They have gills which help them to breathe under the water and tails to help them swim.
Frogspawn
are the eggs of a frog. They are surrounded by jelly to protect them.
Catkins
are the flowers that appear on some trees in the spring. You can find them on Willow and Hazelnut trees.
Trees
are the largest type of plant. They usually have roots, a trunk, branches and leaves. Many animals make their homes in trees.
Ducklings
are baby ducks. They hatch out of eggs and can soon swim and feed by themselves.
Rivers
are large streams of water that flow from the high hills down to the sea.
Spring
is the season which follows Winter. It starts to get warmer and lighter in the spring. Lots of plants begin to grow again and many animals have their babies.
