KENT ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION FORUM

The Kent Environmental Education Forum is a regional network of organisations and individuals that have an interest in supporting environmental education in schools. Representatives attend termly meetings convened by the County Consultant for Environmental Education. Members of the Forum regularly help schools by attending courses and conferences, providing talks and information and helping schools with educational excursions.

A list of Forum members is given here. Teachers in Kent and Medway schools are welcome to get in touch for information. Teachers are asked to bear in mind that many of the groups are charities or are staffed by a small number of volunteers, so letters from a whole class asking 'please send me any information you have about the environment' are not easy to respond to. However teachers looking for specific information about matters such as wildlife, habitat provision, recycling, trees, animal welfare, birds, bats, biodiversity, the historic environment, etc. are welcome to make contact.

This is an opportunity to say a public 'thank-you' to all the members of the Kent Environmental Education Forum for their energy, enthusiasm and willingness to help in promoting high quality environmental education for local children.
