The East Blean Woods is an area
of ancient coppice woodland and makes up the most easterly area of woodland
of the Blean. Trees include oak, wild service tree, holly, hornbeam and willow
along with mixed sweet chestnut coppice.East Blean Woods is a good place to
see a range of butterflies including the rare Heath Fritillary.
The car park can be found off the Hicks Forstal Road
which runs from the A291 from Sturry towards Herne Bay.
