COMMONWORK is a group of rural enterprises and educational charity, based at Bore Place, a 500 acre estate in Kent. Commonwork also has projects working from centres in Maidstone (Kent & The Wider World) and east London (The Circle Works).

Established in 1977, Commonwork is a living example of the inter-dependence between people and the natural world, and the continual need to explore opportunities for the more efficient and sustainable use of resources.

The profits and activities of the three commercial enterprises support the educational work of the Commonwork Land Trust which creates and develops hands-on opportunities for learning.

The result is of value both to those who have an opportunity of experiencing it in person and to the wider local, national and international networks in which Commonwork is involved.

The year 2000 marks the next stage of the evolution of Commonwork with the completion of the organic conversion of the Farm and the extended educational opportunities this represents.
