There are six common types of ant, The Wood Ant, Jet Ant, Small Black Ant, Yellow ant, Pharoh's Ant and the Red Ant

Ants like dark, dry places. Some make nests in the soft earth of dry grassland.

Ant stings are caused by the formic acid which they squirt when they bite!
