Caterpillar

Caterpillars are the larvae of moths and butterflies. They spend most of their lives eating! When they out-grow their skin it splits so they have room to grow. When they are fully grown caterpillars change into a pupa which, after a while splits open to release a beautiful butterfly or moth. These lay eggs which hatch into a caterpillar again. This is called a life cycle.
