Teachers' Notes

These pages are not intended to replace real exploration out of doors !

They can, however, be a useful starting point for planning a field visit. Canterbury Environmental Education Centre can provide specialist equipment and teaching expertise for you to carry out the real thing!

The pages can also be used as a follow up activity after a field trip.

Activity sheets

These are free for you to download and use within your own school. They remain the copyright of Canterbury Environmental Education Centre

Gallery

Most browsers will allow you to select an image by clicking on it and then saving it or printing it out. The images and line drawings can be used in your pupils own projects but if they are published in your own pages Canterbury Environmental Education Centre should be credited in return for their use.

Field Work

We encourage children to carry out their own investigations. Please stress the need to care for any animals they collect and that they must be returned unharmed to the place where they were found.
